Masonite was founded by William H. Mason in 1925, after his determination to find a use for lumber mill waste resulted in the invention of hardboard. Mason’s product made an indelible mark on the building industry. It has been used in a variety of building products since its inception and remains a primary component of our interior molded wood doors today.
